Who We Are

Atacama Minerales is a Chilean mining company that creates and adds value to its shareholders and the community, through the acquisition and development of mining businesses in Chile.

The company carries out all its activities with a highly qualified and motivated multidisciplinary team, with a proven track-record of successes, respecting people’s lives and developing sustainable projects within the established and current regulatory framework of the mining industry.

Atacama Minerales aims to be a successful company recognized in the industry for identifying, adding value, and developing sustainable and profitable mining businesses.

Santiago Metals was created in 2013 when Denham Capital, a US private equity fund manager that invests in energy, oil, gas and mining, identified Chile as an attractive country to materialize copper mining businesses and sponsored the establishment of SML as a platform of investment in mining.

In 2025 PanAust entered a cooperation agreement and option over Santiago Metals operating mines renaming the operations as Atacama Minerales.

PanAust is owned by Guangdong Rising H.K. (Holding) Limited which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Guangdong Rising Holding Group (GDRH).

GDRH is a Chinese state-owned company regulated under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the People’s Government of the Guangdong Province in China.
